We know there are many types of cancers affect to our daily of life. No less than 100 types of cancers are recognized in recent days.
Top 8 deadliest cancers in the USA are following:
- Lung and bronchial cancer, killed about 792,000 patients per year
- Colon and rectal cancer, caused 269,000 dead per year
- Breast cancer, lead to 207,000 yearly dead
- Pancreatic cancer, killed 163,000 dead per year
- Prostate cancer, caused 145,000 dead per year.
- Leukemia, about 109,000 yearly dead
- Non-Hodgkin lymphoma, responsible to 104,000 dead per year
- Liver and intrahepatic bile duct cancer, killed 80,000 people
These cancers may be “managed” or even “treated” if doctors diagnosed at early stages.
The problems is that to diagnosed cancers are cost constraints and very time consuming.
Some cancers even difficult to detect at early development with current technology.
Just for example that the cost for screening one cancer such as lung cancer is about US$ 300, and might be more.
Cost may varies between one institution to other ones, and it takes long time to know the result. The results about 1 to 4 weeks to know.
Imagine, if we want to test about 10 most dangerous cancer, we may face following concerns:
- cost thousand dollars
- go through different kind of testing with multiple procedures
- get results in the months
Now, we will know 50 types of cancers by “a simple blood” test. This technique has been developed by National Health Service (NHS) of United Kingdom.
The trial will be conducted by next year (middle of 2021) with 165,000 volunteers.
It is estimated that millions of people will get the test by 2025.
...our health is all about money!

Tanza, It would be great if we could detect multiple types of cancer via blood tests. The cost of testing is a problem for sure, without adequate health insurance for all. Stay Safe and Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
