It should also be noted that the real Parkinson's disease - also known as idiopathic parkinsonism - can manifest itself differently in each patient. The word 'idiopathic' is a medical term for 'of unknown cause'. Parkinson's disease is also distinguished from Parkinson's disease. These are called parkinsonism or parkinson's syndrome: a collective term for conditions that resemble Parkinson's disease. The difference lies in the dopamine: in Parkinson's disease the production of dopamine is disturbed, in Parkinson's disease the absorption of dopamine does not go well, so that Parkinson's medicines do not work in Parkinson's disease.
ReplyDeleteSome medications also cause parkinsonian symptoms, because they inhibit the transfer of dopamine into the basal nuclei. Because the substantia nigra are not damaged in this process, this form is called drug-induced parkinsonism.
Especially antipsychotics can be evildoers. If a patient takes tranquilizers against hallucinations and delusions, he may develop a dopamine deficiency. This is also related to the dosage. Parkinson's symptoms can develop immediately or after a while. One should therefore have a good research done because they often say that you have it and then this is due to something else.
Parkinsonism as a side effect of medication mainly occurs in the elderly. The susceptibility to develop Parkinsonism varies from person to person. By stopping the medication or reducing the dosage, this form of Parkinsonism usually disappears again.
I got knew knowledge about 'idiopathic.'
DeleteThank you for your explanation
