There are plenty of Mexican foods, you might know or consume some of them:
- Tamale
- Tacos
- Tostadas
- Chiles en nogada
- Enchiladas
One of my favorites is a Tamale. The way its cook is interesting for me, it is steamed with wrapping. The wrapping could be one of these natural materials:
- banana leaf
- corn husk
The Tamale is a delicious dish with tastes of sweety, salty or spicy, made of “a corn based dog” with mixture of various stuffs such as:
- various meats (chicken)
- beans

- olive
- cheese
- vegetables (carrots, peppers).
When eating Tamale, we remove the wrap first, either we throw it or used its as a plate. We may eat with:

Lovely (the veggie kind anyway)
ReplyDeleteTanza, We love a good corn tamale with various ingredients... We tend to eat them straight up...without sides. Otherwise I like a good spicy carne burrito. Stay Safe and Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

I do love tamales! My favorite filling is green chili and cheese or pork. They are delicious!
ReplyDeleteAnything wrapped in banana leaves give it an extra flavour. We have something similar here, Meen polichathu - fish fried in banana leaf. The Parsees call it by a different name - Patrani Machi

I love tamales and I love the varieties they come in. Arizona has the hottest, I love them but they about do me in. Such a treat.
ReplyDeleteHere in Oklahoma they are very mild, as are all Mexican foods here.
I have never met a Mexican food I did not like! I like to keep tamales in the freezer, they reheat beautifully for a quick meal. Of course they are best hot and fresh from the vendor!
